Everything takes a bit longer with us. Because we take our time. Because we work according to the following maxim: everything is handmade, good and unique. Most Sloe gins are simple sloe liqueurs: Here often only the juice or concentrate of sloes, syrup and much sugar is used. The result is quite sweet, watered down and reminds neither of a gin nor the aromatic sour taste of blackthorn. For the Cucumberland Hannover Sloe Gin, on the other hand, only fresh, whole berries are used. The blackfeet known from ancient times for its healing powers gives our Cucumberland Hannover Sloe Gin not only its ruby red color, but also an unmistakably mild fruity aroma. The flavors are rounded off by the tart, slightly sweetish-fruity rowan berries of the local mountain ash after maceration. Do not worry: the rowanberry is not poisonous. The highest quality berries are collected by hand, frozen and finally added to our closely guarded recipe just before the start of production. After several months of maceration at optimum temperatures in the barrel, the gentle filtration takes place. The bottle then ends up with a balanced composition with a total of 30 ingredients and 34% by volume.
