Hernö Sipping Gin, cask matured Hernö Gin aged in casks used before to refine other goodies, is a unique project to strengthen the tourism in our region and attract visitors to our little corner of the world. For Hernö Sipping Gin #1.0, we let our gin mature for just 21 days on a cask from Box Whisky Distillery, using the same base as our London Dry. The cask, numbered 152, is an ex bourbon cask and used to mature Box Whisky Distillery’s peaty recipe of whisky. This gives this gin a hint of peaty character and a slightly thicker texture.
