In the early 1800’s, Elia Lönnrot set out on foot across Finland with pen and paper in hand to record the songs and poems in his beloved mother tongue. Fearing that Finnish would vanish with the European influence of the time, his work ‘Kalevala’ is a monumental recording of culture, prose and song in the true tongue of the Finnish language. Inspired by his love and devotion to Finland and its vast natural landscape, Kalevala Gin comes from the very earth Lönnrot traversed. Kalevala Navy Strength Distilled Gin is the perfect wintery gin with Jerusalem artichoke giving it a slightly sweet taste. At 50,9% ABV this is our strongest gin yet. Strong, but sweet.
