This year one of our directors Mr Paul Lane harvested our most unlikely ingredient, late season english asparagus from the fields of March with enormous help from our friends at The British Asparagus Growers Association. Asparagus gin in a slightly different form to this was popular in the early years of the 20th Century but we are unaware of anyone having produced one commercially since 1916. Before you ask, no it doesn’t. Directors Cut 2015 is bottled at 47.3% as a tip of the hat to a favourite gin of ours from one of our rival distillers whose Master Distiller recently retired.
