Our Local Heroes Limited Editions is a project close to our heart, an occasional release of a limited edition gin, with each one created to celebrate a particular market, by partnering with a ‘local hero’ that perfectly encapsulates each market’s spirit, to create a unique and artisanal blend. Portobello Road Gin Local Heroes 002 – created for the Italian market with the help of the imitable Carlo Cracco, two Michelin starred Chef, Italian Masterchef Judge and the celebrated & innovative Head Bartender of Carlo’s world-renowned Milan restaurant & bar (..and our favourite Italian haunt) Carlo e Camilla in Segheria, Filippo Sisti. Slowly & lovingly distilled by Jake, Carlo & Filippo on our diminutive copper pot still Coppernicus II at 171 Portobello Road, this 1,000 bottle distillation includes a few esoteric botanicals such as roasted mango skin, timut peppercorn, Japanese Shiso leaf & bergamot and embodies the innovative culture that is so present & encouraged at Carlo e Camilla.
