Scotch whisky that's aged or finished in ex-Sherry casks is a beautiful thing, but why should whisky have all the fun - what about gin? For Batch 10, Ableforth’s Bathtub Gin was aged in a cask that was previously used to age Moscatel. Nose: Salted almonds and an olive-like fruitiness, followed by a dusting of cassia and chilli. Taste: Sweet and fruity upfront with a hint of cinnamon bun is the name of the game. All followed by a light hint of sweet tea. Finish: A little woodiness makes this, overall, a delicate, well-integrated and balanced spirit.
