Scotch whisky that's aged or finished in ex-Sherry casks is a beautiful thing, but why should whisky have all the fun - what about gin? For Batch 5, Ableforth’s Bathtub Gin was aged in a cask that was previously used to age Very Old Tom Gin. Nose: Sugared peels, Alpine herbs, fresh vanilla pod and potpourri. Taste: More vanilla develops on the palate, with a touch of milk chocolate. However, a handful of clove and juniper notes keep it balanced. Finish: Cinnamon gum, spicy cardamom and fruity boiled sweets.
