Snake Oil Tonic Syrup was first created at Kangaroo Island Spirits by owner Jon Lark. Using the original ingredient, Cinchona Bark from the fever trees in Peru, we have crafted a premium tonic that is well suited to any Gin and Tonic. The term Snake Oil, was used as an expression that originally referred to fraudulent health products or unproven medicine but has come to refer to any product with questionable or unverifiable quality or benefit. By extension, a snake oil salesman is someone who knowingly sells fraudulent goods or who is themselves a fraud, quack, or charlatan.
