This Privacy Policy describes how and when Ginventory collects, uses and shares your information when you use our Services. Ginventory receives your information through our smartphone app (the "Service"). For example, you send us information when you create an account, save a gin, etc. with our app. When using any of our Services you consent to the collection, transfer, manipulation, storage, disclosure and other uses of your information as described in this Privacy Policy.

Irrespective of which country you reside in or supply information from, you authorize Ginventory to use your information in any country where Ginventory operates.

1. The main points to understand

  1. When using Ginventory your Ginventory-account might be publically available. When and if Ginventory decides that other users can follow your activity, you will have the option to change your Privacy Setting from "Anyone" to "Nobody" in the app or the website.
  2. Ginventory never posts content to your Facebook account automatically. Any sharing on Facebook, Twitter or other social networks outside Ginventory only happens when you actively request the posting to happen.
  3. When using Ginventory you might receive emails from Ginventory containing news, special offers, etc. You can unsubscribe from these mails at any time via the unsubscribe link in the mails.

2. Information Collection and Use

We collect and use your information below to provide our Services and to measure and improve them over time.

Information Collected Upon Registration : When you create or reconfigure a Ginventory account, you provide some personal information, such as your name, username, password, and email address. Some of this information, for example, your name and username, might be listed publicly on our Services, including on your profile page and in search results.

If you email us, we may keep your message, email address and contact information to respond to your request.

Information From Third Parties: If you sign up for Ginventory through a third party application like Facebook, you authorize us to collect your authentication information, such as your username and encrypted access credentials, and other information available through the third party application account.

Ginventory allows you to sign up and sign in using your Facebook account. If you sign up using Facebook, Facebook will ask your permission to share certain information from your Facebook account with Ginventory. This includes your Facebook user ID, first name, last name, email address, gender, locale, your time zone, birthday and profile picture. This information is collected by Facebook and is provided to Ginventory under the terms of Facebook’s Privacy Policy . You can control the information that we receive from Facebook using the privacy and data settings in your Facebook account. If you signed up using Facebook by mistake, we can delete your account for you via simple e-mail request at

Ratings, Wishlist, Cabinet, Following, Followers : Our Services are designed to help you share information with the world. Our default is almost always to make the information you provide public for as long as you do not delete it from Ginventory, but we generally give you settings to make the information more private if you want. Your public information is broadly and instantly disseminated. For instance, your public user profile information may be searchable by search engines. When you share information or content like ratings via the Services, you should think carefully about what you are making public.

Location Information : We may use and store information about your location to provide features of our Services, such as creating lists of availability of certain gins.

Cookies : Like many websites, we use "cookie" technology to collect additional website usage data and to improve our Services, but we do not require cookies for many parts of our Services such as searching and looking at public user profiles. A cookie is a small data file that is transferred to your computer's hard disk. Ginventory may use both session cookies and persistent cookies to better understand how you interact with our Services, to monitor aggregate usage by our users and web traffic routing on our Services, and to customize and improve our Services. 3. Information Sharing and Disclosure

Service Providers : We engage service providers to perform functions and provide services to us in Belgium and abroad. We may share your private personal information with such service providers subject to confidentiality obligations consistent with this Privacy Policy, and on the condition that the third parties use your private personal data only on our behalf and pursuant to our instructions.

If you are a registered user of our Services, we provide you with tools and account settings to access or modify the personal information you provided to us and associated with your account.

5. Our Policy Towards Children

Our Services are not directed to persons under 13.
