Produced by Oss Craft Distillery in Norway, Bareksten crafts spirits that represent the true essence of Norway. They're dark, wild, breathtaking and spectacular in the way they look in the bottle, smell when you open it and taste when you drink it. Bareksten is inspired by Norwegian forests. The long sunny days in summer, combined with lots of rain and warm weather, create perfect growing conditions for certain herbs and berries. These natural, organic Scandinavian herbs, potatoes and berries form the basis of Bareksten's unique flavor. With its latest Sloe gin, Bareksten completes its portfolio of different types of gin (having already produced a classic gin, a marinesterkte and an old tom). However, the bottle of this gin differs from that of the other gins in the family, as it is transparent and reveals the brilliant ruby color of the Sloe gin it contains. This is a traditional spirit made from juniper and blueberries. The sloes are then placed in the gin to add their fruity flavor and vibrant color. The aroma is delicious, including the plumy scent of sloes. It is combined with juniper and a hint of spice and citrus. The taste is delicious, full of sweet fruit aromas, traditional Bareksten spices and juniper. Earthy, warming, really delicious and with a sweet finish.
