The diminutive damson is a native species of plum long prized for preserves and liqueurs. Its hardy tree was favoured for hedging in counties such as Shropshire and remnants have been found in digs at roman settlements across England. Damson Botanical Gin is best enjoyed as a cool, refreshing long drink with high quality tonics or sodas, on the rocks or added to Prosecco or Champagne for a celebrational cocktail.
