Ocean Aged TX Gin is the exclusive Gin from Stokerij Texel. Aged in Bordeaux oak barrels and sailed to the Caribbean and back. The combination of craft and local flavors gives our Texel TX Gin a particularly fresh, spicy and tasteful character. The widely loved TX Gin is now aged in refurbished French oak red wine barrels. The barrels are transported by sailing ship to the other side of the ocean and back. The barrels have traveled across the Atlantic Ocean by sailing vessel for more than eight months. The wave motion, the salty climate and the Caribbean temperatures provide a mature and delicate taste, comparable to a drink that has aged up to eight times longer on land. Our undiluted version contains around 70% alcohol and is sold as Captains Gin. Our regular version has an alcohol percentage of 44%. Each bottle has information about the origin of the drink and includes an extensive travelogue. What immediately stands out is the smell, a full spicy scent with notes of vanilla, caramel, wine, oak and coriander.
