Gin description
A balanced composition, which is characterized by cucumber and rose. The Rostocker Stadtbrand Gin is supported by a decent touch of lime. On the 11th of August, 1677, Joachim Schulze broke into a gigantic fire in the Altschmiedestraße, corner of Große Goldstrasse. The flames quickly swept over large parts of the eastern and northern part of the old town, destroying houses and economies. Only on the following day could the fire be restrained by a strong rain. Of 2000 registered houses, 700 were completely ruined. Among them were also gothic gabled houses, which were mostly used as breweries. Not only did the brewing industry suffer from this. Rostock as a Hanseatic city lost more and more value and had to complain more and more trade losses.
