Figgy Pudding Gin was a single-batch limited edition release from Tappers for Christmas 2016. Figgy Pudding Gin is based on the namesake of the quintessentially British dessert, which dates back to the 16th Century, traditionally served at Christmastime. Figgy Pudding Gin is a compound gin independently produced in a limited-edition single batch by hand from start to finish in the seaside town of West Kirby, Wirral. The process in compound gin involves infusing natural botanicals in a premium quality 100% wheat neutral base spirit, to a carefully designed recipe. The aim is to obtain a deep complexity of aromas and a full flavoured body. The resulting spirit has an amber-hue which is retained after delicate filtration so as not to remove any of the intensity of flavour. Figgy Pudding Gin was a gloriously sweet and boozy combination of figs, apple, raisins, sultanas, orange peel, cassia and allspice, making a marvelous Christmastime tipple.
