Gin description
North Rhine-Westphalia, with its varied nature and its turbulent history, was also always a region of all sorts of myths and legends. This site represents the living owl (Old High German: Uwila) like no other animal. She stands as a substitute for a gin, who does not immediately surrender. The Uwila is made from the best malt and refined as a dry gin according to secret recipe with exquisite botanicals, including rose hip, angelica root, elderberry blossom, marigold and violet. We use only the best ingredients for our gin. Love for detail instead of mass production. The Uwila is produced in small batches on a copper bubble. In order to ensure the highest quality, alcohol is first produced in our distillery from pure barley malt - only the purest medium is used. Subsequently, the refining to the gin with the botanicals takes place in the second distillation. Before filling it in bottles, it must be stored in clay casks, giving it its round, harmonious taste. Despite its 44% vol., The Uwila has a soft, finely balanced taste. It is distinguished by a juniper-concrete character with a complex finish. A dry gin that perfectly represents the region with all its facets.
