Tonic description
The Hop Series was developed to highlight and showcase the aromatics of five different hop varieties in five individual Hopped Tonic waters. This is most commonly done in the beer world and is called single hopping. Although “single hop” technically means using the same hop for bittering and aromatics we are doing something a bit different. Being that Hopped Tonic was developed as a cocktail mixer we needed to have a consistent bitterness in all five tonics. Thus we are using the same bittering hop in all five drinks. While it is becoming common for hops to be used in soda and other beverages, Bette Jane’s is the first to do so in a tonic water. Wanting to make sure the hops were the feature, all five bottlings of Hopped Tonic have the exact same formula. The only difference is the hop being featured in the specific bottling. The aroma of Bravo hops can be described as orange, floral, fruity and a touch a of vanilla.
