BTW stands for Bermondsey Tonic Water. We use naturally occurring Quinine straight from Cinchona bark to achieve a the well-rounded and balanced flavour you find in BTW, this as oppose to the chemically extracted Quinine that you find in the majority of high-street Tonic Waters. This is what gives them that over powering bitter-sweetness that really drys out the back of your mouth. We carefully craft BTW in super small batches of around 60 litres by soaking Cinchona bark in our BTW syrup. Some of our syrup then gets diluted and carboanted and turned into BTW Tonic Water, which due to its high natural Quinine content, must be pre-chilled before serving. The rest is bottled and sold as our BTW Tonic Syrup. This is essentially a highly-concentrated Quinine syrup designed to be mixed with carbonated water to make Tonic Water (just like a cordial) or even used as a tasty and versatile cocktail component...
