Long Table's Original Tonic Syrup, is the first in a line of handcrafted, small batch syrups was created to pair with premium craft spirits. Made from all natural ingredients, our Tonic Syrup is based on a traditional recipe that involves brewing the essences and flavours from a select blend of botanicals. The main ingredient found in the tonic is sourced from cinchona bark, the original source of quinine and an anti-malaria extract that is found in all such tonics. Its distinctive bitterness is paired with the addition of 100% cane sugar, fresh citrus zests, lemon grass and other organic and natural spices. The result is a refreshing but authentic base for a classic Gin & Tonic similar to that served in India and across the British Empire for the protection of military officers from malaria – Just add soda water.
