Quietly and confidentially, far from the big Ginfabriken, the first formulation of the Deux Frères L1000T1 originated in a Zurich laboratory in homework. At that time, the Gin was still distilled in a 2.5 l approach under vacuum - with a distillation plant homegrown from individual glass components. The first formulation consisted of 11 botanicals and had a formative, but fine Citrusaroma.Nach numerous other distillations and formulation adjustments we found a half years later in Tyrol together with our master distiller the ultimate formulation with 25 botanicals. It gives today the Deux Frères gin its special taste.
