The Hamburg sailor Knut Hansen is the face of our gins. An honest guy who had not let himself be stopped by anybody on his journey, took the liberty of stepping up the places he had always wanted to see, and had a myriad of adventures. We follow exactly from which cultivation the individual ingredients originate in our Knut Hansen Dry Gin. We also place great importance on using North German botanicals. Therefore, we also tell you the origins of our main cultivations: the juniper grows in the Lüneburg Heath, the apples are from the Old Country and the basil as well as the cucumbers we can take lovingly from the familigenigen greenhouse. Knut Hansen Dry Gin is produced with a lot of love for the detail in the Dolleruper Destille near Flensburg on a copper 200l distillery of the company Arnold Holstein. In an elaborate process, we distill our gin four times with extremely slow energy supply and in small passages - only in this way is it possible for us to preserve the unique Knut Hansen flavor and protect the natural flavors in our gin. Finally we fill our finished Knut Hansen Gin by hand into our unmistakable Steinzeugflaschen.
