Gin description
Komasa Hojicha Gin is a creation of Komasa Jyozo, a producer of traditional alcoholic beverages founded in 1883 on the island of Kyushu. Made from locally distilled shochu as the alcoholic base, this unique gin is composed of a bouquet of classic botanicals, including juniper berry, to which are added original ingredients such as Hojicha green tea and hinoki bark (Japanese cypress). All elements are infused independently to extract maximum aroma. Complex on the nose, revealing notes of roasted coffee, chocolate and citrus, Komasa Hojicha gin expresses aromas of green tea, spices and a hint of iodine on the palate, culminating in a long, floral finish.
