Mad Owl Gin Blackberries is a gin liqueur with a light sweetness that makes any dark season a little brighter and friendly. The aroma of ripe blackberries and vanilla is clearly felt when poured, while the familiar taste of juniper and coriander makes the taste complex and inviting with notes of citrus and mild pepper at the bottom. Our blackberry gin is made from ripe berries from North Zealand's gardens, skel and forest edges, and can be enjoyed as an aperitif with a lump of ice, as a potent "dessert wine" (eg for rice a la man at Christmas time) or with a fresh tonic without too much bitterness. We distill the gin in the traditional way with herbs directly in the copper kettle and in the herb basket, which is mounted on the gooseneck. The result is a series of tasty and very characteristic gin variants, which are clear in their profile and easy to mix.
