In the Gold Edition, citrus aromas resonate in the nose, followed by a light floral note. Earthy tones can be perceived weakly. If the Monkey in a Bottle is enjoyed pure, the strong herbal notes surprise, faintly one can guess the coriander and the conclusion celebrates a slightly peppery finish which lingers pleasantly long after the last sip. A multi-layered and complex gin with no note taking over a real pleasure. The Gold Edition goes well with a citrus-heavy tonic. It works very well with the classic Double Dutch or with the Premium Schweppes. As a garnish, we recommend a slice of orange or, depending on your taste, just a piece of zest.
