Gin description
Regional ingredients from the Caiserstuhl and citrus fruits from Sicily make the rubus gin. Among the 10 botanicals used are 6 classic components, but also a few exotic ones: gooseberry, raspberry, grapefruit and orange peel. This gives the Rubus Gin its fruity, berry flavor. The Rubus Gin was developed by Leopold Langer (co-owner Schwarz-Weiss Bar Ludwigsburg) and Alexander Mayer (Barchef in the Schwarz-Weiß-Bar Stuttgart), and by Florian Faude (Faude Fine Burns) in Bötzingen. The name Rubus is, by the way, the name for a genus of the rose plants, among which include blackberries and raspberries.
