Scotch whisky that's aged or finished in interesting casks is a beautiful thing, but why should whisky have all the fun - what about gin? This ultra-small batch of Ableforth's famous Bathtub Gin is extra special: it was aged in a Palo Cortado Sherry cask that also previously held Ben Nevis Single Malt Scotch Whisky. Nose: Caramelised pineapple, Amaretti and brown sugar bourbon. Taste: Very mellow and laid back, with some slightly perfumed wood notes and baked apple flavours. Finish: Exceptionally dry - a woody, stonefruit dryness. Very crisp, too, like a good Fino Sherry.
