Scotch whisky that's aged or finished in interesting casks is a beautiful thing, but why should whisky have all the fun - what about gin? This ultra-small batch of Ableforth's famous Bathtub Gin is extra special: it was aged in a Oloroso Sherry cask that also previously held Tobermory Single Malt Scotch Whisky. Nose: Fragrant and fruity, with plump berry notes as well hints of cherry and blackberry - all reminiscent of a fruit scone smothered in jam. Taste: The end slice of a Jamaican Ginger Cake to start, followed by dry grape notes and the complexity of the Sherry, then a touch of cocoa and super-dark chocolate. Finish: A crisp, dry finish with a touch of pecan, hazelnut, and a hint of lemon peel.
