There’s nothing like a straightforward dry gin – unless you’re after a new taste sensation. For the crisp cocktail creations mixed at his Manoamano Bar in Wiesbaden, Gianfranco Amato had a very special flavor in mind: a mellow base of the classic botanicals with a brisk Mediterranean accent. When none of the products on the market satisfied his palate, he decided to create his own little brand. Since May 2014, Amato Wiesbaden Dry Gin is handcrafted in small batches by the master stillman of a long-standing German distillery. Even the smallest of sips reveals the dedication and diligence bestowed to the production of the exceptional spirit. The convincing creation surprises the tongue with notes of sun-kissed thyme and just a touch of fresh cucumber and dried tomato. The subtle nuances delicately blend with the underlying aromas of juniper, citrus and coriander, thus giving the striking gin its distinctive character.
