Gin description
The name "Bartolomeo" is a tribute to Bartolomeu Dias (Bartolomeo Dias in French), Portuguese explorer who was the first to cross the Cape of Good Hope. It is this major discovery that will open ten years later the Indian route and the resumption of the spice trade. The main commodities of these exchanges, coriander, maniguette, angelica root, cardamom and ginger, are at the origin of the development of Bartolomeo. The addition of combava and pepper Timut to the recipe has been designed and realized with the master distiller to bring the Bartolomeo juice citrus base essential to its perfect balance. These are the tiles, these famous tiles of faience very present in the Portuguese architecture, which inspired the decoration of Bartolomeo. Geometric and refined, these typical mosaics surround the bottle with a colored band, while partially revealing its transparency and its ocean blue color. Its cap, chosen in raw wood and engraved with an astrolabe, recall the caravel and the instrument of location by the measurement of the stars, both symbolic of maritime discoveries and great adventures.
