Gin description
After (we may say very successful) releases two single cask whiskeys - a Craigellachie and Tamdhu - opened the hunt for a third whiskey. But in the meantime we do not stop zitten.Met the summer ahead we felt it was time to unpack with something else, to ease the wait. So we come up with a nice snack: our own artisan gin fired. That also explains the name that we thought for our gin: Interludium. For the first batch - which as it should be in our MMM credo is limited to 50 bottles - we chose to return to the home of the gin: Netherlands. He was taken to an approved recipe produced by us by a friendly stoker in Deventer: Wagging Finger Distillery. Because he was not cold filtration, we were able to retain all the flavor and texture and his 44% to our (un) humble opinion ideal. Let the summer begin! No fewer than eight were used botanicals: juniper, orange- and lemon peel, angels carrot, coriander, cardamom, cinnamon and pepper cubebe. The nose is fresh on juniper, citrus and coriander. He also has something bloemigs. I can smell the summer already! He is nice and creamy taste with more of the same, but also delicious notes of cardamom and even cinnamon. Something of pine needles is beeping so I get the feeling to drink something special. The finish is medium with a light bitter, exactly as befits a classic Dutch gin. Back to basics, you know? He makes you mouth dry.
