J.R's Dry Organic Canadian Gin

Gin description

Crafted in the classic style by distiller Jesse J.R. Razaqpur, this juniper-forward spirit features exclusively Ontario grown juniperus communis berries, allowing the unique local terroir to shine through. Unlike most gins, our botanicals remain in our pot still during distillation. The result is an exceptionally distinctive dry gin. The bold up front flavour of Ontario grown juniper fades to a savoury middle featuring notes of licorice, anise seed, coriander, and ginger, complimented by the dryness of angelica root. The finish is accented by orris and citrus flavours including the unique addition of bergamot, the aroma of which blends delightfully with the juniper to balance the middle with a touch of sweetness. At the end, a mild peppery memory of cardamom is all that remains. We source the juniper from Toronto's Forbes Wild Foods, who harvest wild grown foods from across Canada.
