This Barrel Aged Gin is called "Yugen" and is the second Gin from the artisan distillery of Schouten Distillery. Schouten Distillery is located on the Noordkade in Veghel, North Brabant. The name Yugen stands for the deeper consciousness that you are part of the universe. Everything is connected to each other and therefore everything we do will affect the other. Making us consciously or unconsciously help each other. The Yugen Gin has rested for a short time in new American oak barrels. This meeting has a big impact on the Yugen. The influence of the wood has given him something smoky, creates a beautiful golden color and extra flavors such as vanilla and coconut are released. But through this short intense collaboration, the strength and complexity of the original spirit has been preserved nicely.
