Wolfgangsee Gin

Gin description

Liqueurs, brandies and regional specialities have been available in a special ambience at the St. Wolfganger Klosterkellerei monastery winery since 2004. Renate and Hannes Peinsteiner have driven this project over the last few years, aiming to create spirits that represent the region. Following a long period of searching for flavours and testing, the recipe for a Premium Gin emerged. In 2015, the Seedestillerie distillery was founded, a special boiler in line with the London Dry process was developed, and gin distillation started in July 2016. The Wolfgangsee Gin is made with water from the springs which feed Lake Wolfgangsee, and with its fine share of juniper it accentuates the botanicals from the surrounding alpine meadows well.
