Balancal Fennel gin

Gin description

The first settlers on this island discovered a sheltered cove where fennel grew abundantly from the mountains to the sea and named this verdant, aromatic haven Funchal “fennel field.” Even today, this plant grows freely in many of the island's lush green fields. In homage to our capital's name, we've added local fennel seeds to alcohol, water, juniper berries, coriander, licorice, orris root, and angelica to create a gin as unique as it is authentic.
