Deep forests and lush valleys. Rustic places with history. The Blackforest Wild Gin ***Traditional*** carries the wild side of the Black Forest. The classic strong notes of citrus and juniper as well as the distilling experience of three generations make this original piece of home come alive. This traditional distilled gin is strongly based on the classic London Dry style and, in addition to the balanced juniper note, shows many fresh botanicals such as basil, lemon, lime and ginger. In order to let these fresh ingredients shine in particular, our distillers use the steam extraction process. The hand-peeled and dried citrus peels are not placed in alcohol, but simply hung in an aroma basket in the rising alcohol vapour. The citrus aromas are extracted very gently and taste particularly intense. Before bottling, we store this premium gin with its 45 ingredients in clay amphorae for 6-12 months. Here the gin can breathe and has time to sort and harmonize its aromas.
