Gin description
The XIX Gin (XIX = latin 19) takes its name from the 19 herbs that give it its special tone and freshness. The French distillery produces its own Weizenrohbrand she then instead of the usual mixed with herbal extracts with real herbs. The mixture then is aged for some time in barrels to capture the aroma of various herbs (maceration) and only subsequently distilled. Distillation of Gin XIX takes place processes in the so-called "Pot Still". It is a very complicated, particularly high quality internal procedures. The herbal approach is twice distilled in pot stills made of copper, which expire at the top with a gooseneck. The first firing takes place in the so-called Wash or Wine Still, after the liquid has an alcohol content 20-26% vol. After the second firing process in the Spirit Still, the distillate reaches an alcohol content 60-75% vol and can subsequently be brought to drinking strength. The result is an especially aromatic gin with the same very mild impression.
