Hernö Sipping Gin, cask matured Hernö Gin aged in casks used before to refine other goodies, is a unique project to strengthen the tourism in our region and attract visitors to our little corner of the world. For Hernö Sipping Gin #1.1 we let our classic Hernö Dry Gin mature 21 days in an ex-Box unpeated whisky cask that previously held Sherry. In the nose, spicy notes of oak are followed by oily junipers, florality and a hint of roasted nuts and vanilla. In the mouth, black pepper that turns into soft oak is followed by citrus, vanilla and dried fruit. Caramel finish with warm tones of cassia together with full-bodied junipers.
