Gin description

Beg Gin is a spirit with Brazilian roots and at the same time the purest British essence. Due to its production method, BEG is considered the first Brazilian boutique gin, distilled slowly in small batches using our exclusively copper pot still. Just as our unique and exclusive recipe, our copper pot still was developed by our Master Distilled in order to select and preserve the most delicate fragrances into the spirit. Beg Gin is distilled from extra neutral alcohol with a mix of maceration (around 24 hours) and vapor infusion of local and imported hand selected botanicals. A smooth but yet powerful spirit, our gin is rich on the nose and a sophisticated palate, a perfect base for the most sophisticated drinks and of course, for the classic G&T. The British essence of our gin is brought by the hand selected Turkish juniper berries, Argentinian coriander seeds and angelica root, together they provide the classic flavors of a London Dry Gin. The Brazilian botanicals are responsible for the tropical and exotic flavors. Pitangueira leafs has a slightly spicy and citric note, while Brazilian Elderflower has a sweet floral but smooth notes; combined with Cardamom and Cinnamon bark you will find an equilibrated complexity in our gin. Lime, Brazilian Tangerine (Mexerica), Sweet Orange and Lemon grass, all fresh, are responsible for the citrics notes. All botanicals are macerated for 24 hours with exception of the critics that are added right before each batch and vapor infused. Our distillation process was developed by our Master Distiller, Arthur Flosi, after numerous visits, experiments and study in order to achieve superior quality over others domestic and imported brands. Each batch takes from 6 to 7 hours, especially due to the “water bath” heating system, the slow distillation of the previous macerated mix starts with adding the citrics to a basket located just under the stills neck. The first drops provide a fantastic smell over our distillery, each minute that goes by, more complexity is added. Our premium quality and yet our craft signature is guaranteed during each cut, both Heads and Tails are carefully cut based on its volume, alcohol by volume and mainly on flavor, giving our Heart the most magnificent quality as possible, making our gin silky and smooth in every sip.
