Gin description
Gin La Bouche #1 Cap Ferret is the gin envisioned from the very launch of TameSpirits in 2019: an atypical profile, far removed from citrus and without any overpowering herbaceous notes. Its recipe brings together precisely balanced ingredients, including Cap Ferret oyster shells, samphire, oyster leaf, juniper, and pink peppercorns, to deliver subtle, delicately briny, and slightly vegetal aromas. This isn't a "maritime" gin in the classic sense: it's a blend of land and sea, with considerable complexity and a dry, clean, instantly recognizable character, equally enjoyable neat, in a Gin and Tonic, or in a cocktail. Its signature also comes from low-temperature distillation and individual processing of ingredients: thanks to a rotary evaporator (Rotavap) which operates under vacuum, distillation takes place between 25°C and 30°C, in order to preserve a direct and unaltered rendering of flavors, ideal for the desired freshness and minerality profiles.
