Wigle Barleywine Barrel Rested Ginever

Gin description

Despite its name, a Barleywine is very much a beer, albeit a very strong one. Lively and fruity, sometimes sweet, but often aged in barrels to render a big and bold brew. Our Ginever, in a similar fashion, is the bigger and bolder cousin to English London Dry Gin. We aged our Ginever in our rye whiskey barrels for 8 months and was then finished off in a Barleywine barrel from East End Brewery for an additional 8 months. Compared to the spicier Barrel-Rested Ginever, this has a remarkable soft malty character with a bright citrus finish, both credited to the helping hand of East End's barrels.
