Hernö Sipping Gin, cask matured Hernö Gin aged in casks used before to refine other goodies, is a unique project to strengthen the tourism in our region and attract visitors to our little corner of the world. For Hernö Sipping Gin #1.5 we let our classic Hernö Dry Gin mature 60 days on casks from Brännland Iscider with heritage from Sauternes. The result? A palate of oak, green apple and citrus with spicy finish. A potent aroma of oak, followed by juniper, meadowsweet and an undertone of fresh green apple peel. A mellow taste of juniper and oak, combined with the presence of meadowsweet, black pepper and citrus. A dry, spicy and almost astringent finish with a lot of juniper and vanilla.
