Monterey - Helford Dry Gin

Gin description

Juniper and coriander up front, warmer cardamom and keffir lime base notes with a bright sea buckthorn and citrus finish, tempered by the dryness of maté and gentian root to give a smooth, pleasing mouthfeel. Made entirely using a one shot method. We do not produce our liquid in bulk, we do not dilute from concentrates - every bottle is made from a single run (‘one shot’). We will not compromise on this method because we think it tastes the best. Very small batch (fewer than 100 bottles at a time). Distilled, bottled and labelled by hand at Monterey HQ. As organic as possible, because non-organic ingredients can contain chemicals that are not good for us. Made with the most neutral (organic) base spirit we could find, which is the blank canvas onto which we paint our very distinct palette of premium botanicals. As recycled and recyclable as possible. Our bottle is 100% recycled glass, our cork is an agglomerate of recycled cork pieces, our closure is commonly recyclable aluminium; we do not use any plastic, period. Not changed from maceration to bottle apart from the dilution with de-mineralised water. No chilled filtration is used in the preparation of Monterey as we want all of the distinctive oils and flavours of the eleven botanicals to sing louder and prouder in the final mouthfeel of our gin.
