Wintergreen is the Winter seasonal expression in the Tappers range. Inspired by the British Wintertide and produced in small batches only during the colder months of the year, the name Wintergreen comes from a group of aromatic plants whose leaves remain ‘ever green’ throughout the Winter period. Wintergreen is a compound gin independently produced in small batches by hand from start to finish in the seaside town of West Kirby, Wirral. The process involves infusing natural botanicals in a premium quality 100% wheat neutral base spirit, to a carefully designed recipe. The aim is to obtain a deep complexity of aromas and a full flavoured body. The resulting spirit has an amber-hue which is retained after delicate filtration so as not to remove any of the intensity of flavour. Wintergreen brings together spruce needles, birch bark, cassia bark and meadowsweet with five other valuable ingredients for a crisp taste of Wintertide. Bright, high notes give way to a smooth and dry finish.
